Anza 250 Documentary Project Update
Check out this beautiful hand-drawn map of the Anza expedition route by Luis Valle, who is honoring the 250th anniversary by retracing the journey on bicycle this year and next. Below, you will also find his bike banner with the 18th-century royal coat of arms of Spain.
In other news, both Luis and Alex will be presenting at the International Anza Society Conference this October in Tubac, Arizona. Luis will speak about his remarkable expedition, while Alex will lead seminars on Basque influence in the borderlands and Sonoran culinary heritage.
