Sahuaripa & Northern Jaguar Preserve - Fall Conservation Tour
Journey deep into the wild heart of Sonora for an unforgettable six-day conservation experience exploring the landscapes, culture, and communities working to protect one of North America’s most elusive predators—the jaguar.
Hosted by Borderlandia and the Northern Jaguar Project (NJP), this immersive educational tour offers rare access to the people and places at the forefront of jaguar conservation in northern Mexico. Guests will travel from the borderlands of Nogales through Hermosillo and into the Sierra Madre foothills surrounding Sahuaripa, where conservation, ranching traditions, and regional culture intersect.
Throughout the tour, participants will engage directly with conservationists, local ranchers, educators, and community leaders dedicated to protecting wildlife habitat while supporting sustainable livelihoods in Sonora.
Dates: November 4-9, 2026 (5 nights / 6 days)
Includes transportation with a professional driver, five nights' hotel accommodations, all meals (five breakfasts, five lunches, and five dinners—alcoholic drinks not included), admissions, a guide, and translation services.

Cancellation Policy - Mexico Tours
Overnight tours to Mexico are fully refundable up to ten weeks before the initial tour date. If cancellation occurs between six and ten weeks before the tour’s first day, it
is subject to a $250 (per person) administrative fee. There is no refund if cancellation occurs from six weeks to the tour’s start date. There’s also the option to transfer the registration to another individual found by the original registrant.
