Honoring Georgina

A few weeks ago, I learned of the passing of Georgina Jacquez, whom I had the privilege of working alongside at Tumacácori National Historical Park. In fact, we both started working there around the same time, in March of 2015. While we worked at the mission, the team was so much more than co-workers; we were family.

After a long struggle with cancer, she recently passed away at only 42 years old. She was an amazing person, ranger, wife, and mother of two young daughters.
